 Rebecca Maxcy, LMP founded The Massage Garden in 2001. Her background was in graphic design until she made a career change in 1993 and graduated from Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, Washington. After graduation, she opened and ran a successful massage clinic from 1994 – 2000 whereupon she sold her practice and began The Massage Garden.
The conception and development of The Massage Garden is the marriage of both her artistic talents and her massage wisdom. The business was formed when she had what she likes to refer to as an “Aha moment of realization” where intuition spoke to her and led her in the direction of helping other massage therapists run successful massage practices. She says, “I love running this business. It allows me to use my creative skills and business sense in an industry that I couldn’t be more passionate about – Massage! I want to provide you with the most beautiful, professional products at reasonable prices with superior service.”
She has mentored other local massage therapists in running their business’ and used to do guest lecturing at Bellevue Massage School during their business and marketing classes.
Then in early 2007, Rebecca realized she had a natural gift in listening to others and assisting them in working through their problems. In fact, she had been doing it her whole life. So she finally decided to get formal training to become a Certified Personal Coach. She is receiving her training at the Academy for Coach Training in Edmonds, WA. She currently offers Life and Business Coaching to her customers, clients and anyone in need. In her coaching business she particularly enjoys working with Massage Therapists and others in the Healing Arts field, mothers trying to balance work and home life, mothers and fathers with parenting and homeschooling issues, and small business owners and entrepeneurs. When Rebecca is not busy running The Massage Garden or seeing clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, Benny, Bayley and Bella; and their dog Max.
She enjoys creating Mandala Art and jewelry, long walks, reading and life-long learning.
